Stories I have My Eye on While The Market Takes a Break

Today is Martin Luther King Day here in the US and in observance of today’s holiday, the markets remain closed. 

Last week, we were treated to another green market as the averages quietly churn higher. 

There are still a lot of factors at play in the market right now and the major averages are still in a broad range but we got a positive on Thursday when the CPI report showed cooling inflation yet again. 

Given the holiday today and the fact that markets are closed, I’m going to keep my update relatively short and get to the headlines that have caught my attention.
