Global Internet Coming Soon to a Location Near You

Today markets are closed in observance of the Fourth of July.

And tomorrow they’ll open back up with plenty of money from investors to move it.

We’ll be ready by keeping our eyes on the hottest trends.

Here’s everything I’m looking at this week...

1. Starlink to Deliver Global Internet in a Couple Weeks

Global internet has been a goal of projects like Starlink and OneWeb for the past couple years.

Now we’re seeing the fruits of these companies’ labor come to fruition.

Starlink’s satellite constellation looks to reach the entire world minus the Arctic by the end of the month.

And with this milestone, we could see global internet commercially viable very soon...

2. The Need For Cybersecurity Is Getting Greater

The SolarWinds and Colonial Pipeline attacks highlighted the need for a bolstering of cybersecurity.

And now a breach of LinkedIn’s data has compromised the personal information of over 90% of people with an account.

The fortunate thing is that passwords weren’t compromised…

A bullet dodged in this case, but the need for better cyberdefense is higher than ever.

3. Are the Meme Stocks Over?

GameStop and other meme stocks have made people millions.

But it’s also made others lose their shirt.

Now with Robinhood’s IPO, we could see a shift in how these meme stocks are perceived.

This announcement of course coming just days after it was fined for lying to its customers...

4. A 15% Global Tax Benefitting the U.S.?

Corporate tax in America is at 21%, but did you know that in some other countries companies pay nothing?

Global negotiations for a global 15% corporate tax made a breakthrough last Thursday in Paris.

This can only benefit American companies to make those that pay no corporate tax less competitive.

But also it’s expected to generate $150 billion in global tax revenue every year.

That’s all I’m looking at this week. What do you have your eye on? Feel free to send me your thoughts to AskRay@StPaulResearch.com.
